One of the things I most enjoy about this business is finding new people to work with. It’s always great to team up with talented creatives - whether they’re other filmmakers, or photographers, writers, VFX people, musicians and sound engineers. It’s great to hear new ideas, different ways of working and get to play with other creative people to make something … ‘other’.

Earlier this year I worked with Nicholas Hulbert and his crew at Raunkiaer Films. I was brought in to edit the short (three and a half minutes!) film called ‘Colour’, which is now doing very nicely on the film festival circuit, having played in Italy and very recently, at Soho Screening Rooms in London.

The film is (loosely) based on a story by science-fiction writer HP Lovecraft - and given a noir-ish spin… black and white, dutch-angles, 4:3 aspect ratio … it was a joy to do.
