Time travel by train.
This was a pitch to promote the Northern Belle and British Pullman, premium train tours that offer classy railway trips around the UK, which were run, at the time, by Orient Express.
The client wanted something suitably classy and differentiating. My idea was inspired by the romance of the old days of steam trains, films like Brief Encounter and Midnight in Paris, and the photography of Jenny Zarins: that to step onboard would be like stepping back in time.
“Depart 2013, arrive 1929”.
The client loved the work. Sadly the business changed hands before the campaign could run.
