I’ve over 30 years’ experience as a copywriter and creative, with 20 of those as a leading strategic creative director. And I’ve earned a fair few awards along the way.

I’ve created and written press ads, TV and radio spots, brochures, websites, social media posts, DM, CRM, OOH, blogs and even the backside of bus-tickets…

… (It’s a good story: I re-launched Radion washing powder for Lever Brothers - they had no budget for TV but wanted a big integrated idea. We impregnated millions of bus tickets with the new ‘fresher’ scent, door dropped and ran radio ads in key target areas. The ‘smelly bus tickets’ campaign was so successful it was covered by local TV news. So, the client got their television spot after all. My radio ads for that same campaign won GRAMIAs two years running).

It all starts by getting to the core of a brand’s personality and how it connects with customers. Then and only then do I begin to look at how best to express that essence in creative messaging, visual story-telling, and media.

I’ve worked with everyone from Cadbury to Guinness, Royal Mail to Boots the Chemist, Oxfam to The Woodland Trust, Australia Tourism to Visit Dubai, via SAAB, Peugeot, Ford, and many, many more.
